ABOUT

Q3 Health Innovation Partners – or Q3HIP – is a collaboration of the New Jersey Hospital Association, the Ohio Hospital Association and The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania to improve healthcare quality and patient safety.

Building on each association’s experience leading healthcare quality improvement collaboratives, Q3HIP delivers a collaborative focus to advance high-value, high-quality healthcare. By working with hospitals and health systems across states, coordinating resources and using our collective expertise, we can create an even greater impact in improving health for our patients and communities.

Each of our founding organizations have been engaged in improving healthcare quality and patient safety under the federal Partnership for Patients initiative and other collaborative programs. Q3HIP has now received federal approval to apply jointly for projects from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to continue convening hospitals and health systems in the quest for better patient care.

Our Focus:

  • Reducing healthcare-acquired conditions to reduce patient harm and improve outcomes
  • Building leadership and culture, including the principles of high reliability organizations, to instill processes and precautions that protect patients
  • Engaging patients and families in their care to create empowered healthcare consumers who have better medical results
